Spin Milled Black
Spin Milled Black
Titleist Vokey vs. Cleveland CG12?
I am looking to buy a new 52 and 56 Degree Wedge. I am debating the Vokey Spin Milled or the CG12 Pearl Black. Any recommendations? I am a 15 handicap
I like the Vokeys myself. I have a 52, 56 & 60 degree. The 52 doesn't come in a Spin Milled, but it has quickly become my favorite club for all pitch / chip shots. I've played maybe 4 rounds with it and already chipped one in.
Both are good options though.

Spin The Wheel: The Basics Of Roulette
Spin The Wheel: The Basics Of Roulette
The game of Roulette (a French word meaning "little wheel") has been played in its current form since as early as 1796 and it is believed to be an amalgamation of the English wheel games Roly-Poly, Ace of hearts, E.O., and the Italian games of Hoca and Biribi.
The oldest historical reference to the game of Roulette can be found in official regulations published for the territories of New France (Canada), which banned the games of "dice, Hoca and Roulette". The first literary reference of the game can be found in the 17th century French novel "La Roulette, ou le Jour" by Jaques Lablee.
During the 1800’s Roulette took first Europe and then the Americas by storm, but it was the Frenchmen François and Louis Blanc who brought the game to the attention of the financial elite when they established a casino in the Principality of Monte Carlo. It was here that the game of Roulette prospered and was then exported across the world. It was also because of the Monte Carlo connection that Roulette became known as the "King of casino games".
The roulette is perhaps one of the casino's most identifying games. The roulette wheel is as recognizable as casino card tables and slot machines. Players are sure to a lot considerable time in their casino visits to play roulette.
The unpredictability and excitement is what draws people to the game. The neophyte player might find roulette a little confusing, but like many other games, a little bit of basic know how can help him in his way around the roulette table.
The Roulette Wheel And Table
The roulette wheel is easily recognizable in the center of the betting table. The usual number of pockets in the wheel is 37, numbered from 0 to 36, alternating as black and red; the number zero is colored green.. In case of the American version of the game, an additional pocket, also colored green, is added, labeled as 00. The numbers are arranged in a random pattern (though the arrangement is standardized). A raceway is set on top of the pockets where the ball is initially released.
The table layout is either that for the single zero or double zero (American) game. The numbers are arranged in order in their corresponding colors. Betting options are indicated on the side of the numbers.
Gameplay And Betting
The player bets on the possible outcomes of the spin. He may bet on the ball landing on a specific number or a color, he can also bet on whether the resulting number is either even or odd. Bets are placed on their appropriate positions on the betting table.
Inside bets are made on the possible number or range of numbers that will come out of the spin. These bets offer high payouts, but have lower odds Some of the inside bets that players can make are as follows:
Straight Up: betting on a single number
Split: a bet on to adjacent numbers
Street: player bets on three numbers
Corner: A bet on any four numbers that form a square on the table.
The player can also post outside bets. These bets are mode on the possible general outcomes (for example, whether a black or red will appear). These have a greater chance of winning but pay less than inside bets.
Black or Red: the player chooses on the possible color outcome.
1 to 18 and 19 to 36: the players on either on of the first 18 numbers or the last 18 will come out.
Evens or Odds: the player determines whether the outcome is an even or odd number.
There are still other bets that player's can make though these are infrequently used.
Mizuno Golf wedges have always been incredibly popular with amateurs and professionals alike. The current batch of wedges are divided into 3 groups-
Group 1-MP T Series
The T-Series look has a straighter leading edge than the R-Series - an alignment aid favoured by many professionals. The grooves are precision milled rather than forged for the most bite or spin allowed within the rules.
The "T" stands for "Teardrop" and the sole is based around the feedback from Mizuno Tour players to give you maximum feel and touch around the greens and they come in standard or custom fitted shafts.
Mizuno consider them to be suitable for low to medium high handicappers. They also come in Black Nickel, which is more expensive than the standard mild Carbon Steel.
Group 2-MP R Series
The "R" in this series stands for "Rounded" as this wedge has a more rounded design which allows for greater range of shot making and working the ball. Like the T series they can be obtained in either mild carbon steel or black nickel and a black nickel plating or finish ensures some protection against rust and is softer than traditional chrome.
The loft of these wedges ranges from 52 degrees up to 60 degrees and you can have custom fitted or standard shafts with a huge range of lie angles.
Group 3-MX Series
The difference with this group is that these are said to be suitable for all handicaps whilst the T and R series are suitable for low to mid handicaps.
These wedges are cavity backed, unlike the other 2 groups, and are incredibly to use. To assist this Mizuno have employed what they call a "Y" technology which they claim increases the Sweet Spot to allow for mishits, particularly high into the toe area which is a common mishit spot for most amateurs.
They also use a "Power Bar" and a "Cavity Pad" which helps with playability without sacrificing feel and control.
