What towns are in or near the outer banks in North Carolina?
I saw a movie that mentioned the outer banks, I think it was in North Carolina, but I'm not sure. It was a very beautiful place and I would love to visit, maybe even settle down there. Any seashore communities would be of interest to me.
Carola, Duck, and a few others. But Carola and Duck are the ones where movies are made, it's very beautiful. (Can I have 10 points, I need it

But yeah, I have a nice house in Duck, right on the beach. Duck and Carola are RIGHT on the beach, by the way. Perfect to live at, excellent community, almost no crime at all.

The vineyards of the Outer Banks
After months of saving, planning and packing, you are ready to begin your vacation to the Outer Banks of North Carolina beautiful. You have the route in memory - the day and the day on the beach to play, perhaps with a trip to the Currituck Lighthouse from the beach or the Wright Brothers Memorial in Kitty Hawk. The Travel promises wonderful, but if you are a fan of the grape can be strengthened with the visit of wineries.

Moonrise Bay Winery

Between available wines Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Nebbiolo, Norton, Syrah, Chambourcin, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Tours depart daily from noon until five, or after Special arrangement.
Sanctuary Vineyards
If you are visiting from outside the state, better buy your wine Sanctuary here, since only ship to North Carolina and Virginia. Sanctuary offers not only wine from vineyards in another area, but also unique blend sold under its own label. If you like full-bodied red mixed with a spicy finish, or perhaps a combination of semi-dry Chardonnay and Sangiovese, with a sweet end to find refuge on a tour of the vineyard.
Martin Vineyards
The sandy soil Knotts Iceland produces great wine, and in the vineyards of Martin hectares of Muscat will wait to be picked up. Otherwise, a variety of table wine, dry and sweet, the guests of the vineyard to collect seasonal fruits from the orchards in the region. July is particularly welcome, as the vineyards Knotts Iceland hosts annual Peach Festival. Take your family for a picnic on the beach.
Mother Vineyard
As a little mystery wine? Well, more than likely that you will find nothing in the mother's estate to show, because the vineyards are on private property but visitors come to this area, near Manteo anyway, if you seek only the oldest vineyards in North Carolina. It is not known who planted the the vineyards, it is assumed that more than 400 Years Old, forget the enormity and the thickness of the vine (not too sweet muscadine grapes is increasing) they always leave visitors to the fear and thirst!
A vacation on the Outer Banks is wonderful, but improved with the visit of wineries adds a certain sweetness to taste.
On a warm spring day, nothing beats a leisurely bicycle tour of the Currituck Outer Banks. Why spend money on gas, when you can hop on a beach cruiser and tour Currituck County via the many winding bike paths that border the beauty and historic interest of the North Carolina shore?
For leisure riders and serious cyclists, the Currituck Outer Banks provide a wonderful opportunity to explore the county, and beyond, on two wheels. Starting at the North End of the beach in Corolla on NC Highway 12 takes you past the flora and fauna to Currituck Heritage Park and a multitude of multi-use trails and quiet avenues. From there one may wind through serene Outer Banks neighborhoods on narrow paths toward Sanderling and Duck.
Beach cruisers are welcome on the shores as well, allowing visitors to feel the salty ocean breeze as they glide past the lapping waves of the Atlantic. If you happen upon any surfers or volleyball players along the way, be sure to yield!
What to see
Perched on a bicycle seat, there is much to see on a spring or summer day wheeling through Corolla or Coinjock by the shore. Cyclists taking NC 12 from the north end will eventually meet the Whalehead Club and Currituck Lighthouse at the park, the perfect spot for a break. A deeper sojourn along the shore may provide the opportunity to spot Currituck's famous wild mustangs frolicking along the beach. If you are riding, however, be aware not to get too close and frighten the animals, as they are in their natural habitat.
Share the Road
Because many of the bike-friendly road paths in the Currituck Outer Banks are also part of the state highway system, you will often find cyclists and drivers on the road together enjoying their vacations. State traffic laws observe bicycles and motorized bikes as vehicles, therefore visitors must adhere to the traffic laws as do other motorists. Especially in the summer, when people from all over the country come to enjoy a fun and relaxing vacation, it is important to remember safety and courtesy when sharing the road.
If you are planning a bike outing in Currituck, be it a casual loop around the county or a vigorous trek to the other end of the Outer Banks, please remember to address caution and be vigilant. The warmer months bring more tourists to the area, and not everybody may mind the road as well as you. Ride defensively and watch for traffic, and also be aware of beach debris and walkers, runners, and Segway users on off-road tracks. Always wear a helmet, and bright, reflective clothing in order to be seen.
