Who was the last Kansas State basketball player to be drafted into the NBA?
Cartier Martin is the last K-State player I know of to enter the NBA Draft, but he was not chosen. Thanks.
I'm sure that there has to have been somebody since Mitch Richmond. Although, no one really pops to mind.

Pittsburg State University is located in Pittsburg, Kansas. Yearly, the University adds further to the state’s population numbers for the duration of the school year. The Pittsburg State University has its own student newspaper called the ‘Collegio’. Pittsburg State University first started as the Auxiliary Manual Training Normal School in 1903. Ten years latter it was renamed as The Kansas State Teachers College of Pittsburg. Latter in 1959, it was again renamed as The Kansas State College of Pittsburg. Finally, ‘Kansas State College’ became ‘Pittsburg State University’ on April 21, 1977.
According to College Board, about 91% of the total applicants are accepted into Pittsburg State University.
Pittsburg State University has undoubtedly an outstanding athletic and pedagogic occurrence at the NCAA Division II level. The State of Kansas ultimately failed in its planned implementation of intelligent design theory as a counter to evolutionary thought. This change occurred when new state education officials came to power and reversed the potential for the two primary origin theories to be discussed in state run schools.
It was during the nationwide discussion over the potential use of intelligent design being used as a theory in a science classroom that Bobby Henderson, a physics graduate from Oregon State University sent a letter to Kansas State Board of Education officials describing what has been termed a 'parody religion'.
Henderson's new 'religion' was based on a levitating monster comprised of pasta and meatballs. The 'Flying Spaghetti Monster' (FSM) concept poked fun at organized religion and insisted that this religious parody be considered a third valid argument for earth's origins.
Today this satire organization has embraced what are called ' Pastafarians' who use the platform of the FSM to criticize organized religion as a meaningless component in any discussion of science.
This movement may have been devised to amuse Kansas school board officials. Apparently Henderson's suggestion of a new theory did catch attention. Henderson's website delivers this quote from Carol Rupe who represents District 8 in the Kansas State Board of Education (as of 2007), "In the midst of the sad circumstances of having our science standards lowered, you and your legion of fellow FSM followers have offered wonderful comic relief."
Rupe was not alone among her peers in decrying the planned standards.
The growth of The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster now has its own 'gospel' for which Henderson received an $80,000 advance. Board games and a line of apparel is also available through Henderson's website. [1]
Henderson has amassed a following that has become synonymous with all things anti-intelligent design.
I can find no reports that Henderson evaluated any real evidence related to intelligent design, yet his followers are content to make intelligent design a whipping post. In most circles this is called bigotry.
Intelligent design theory can sure cause an unusual amount of anger. An Associated Press Report states, " A theory is defined as a well-tested explanation that unifies a broad range of observations." [2]
Since this is the generally accepted definition of theory why are Darwinian evolutionists and Pastafarians unwilling to allow intelligent design proponents the opportunity to demonstrate their findings?
There is a growing body of evidence to suggest the theory of evolution is a theory that is heading toward obsolescence. Is it possible evolutionists are more interested in defending a personally held ideology and are less interested in exploring scientific discovery?
Perhaps this is why The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster was so easy to promote - it successfully deflected the real issues.
